600 Hours
Full-time: 5 Months
Part-time: 8 Months

Admission Requirements

1. High School Diploma or equivalent with a combined average of at least 75% in Math and English.
2. English Proficiency and Math Competency.
3. At least 17 years of age.
4. Passed the Entrance/Qualifying Exam.
5. In addition, the student must have computer literacy skills, or have concurrent enrollment in a computer course and have a typing proficiency of 40 wpm.

PART-TIME
A. Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday   5:30-9:00
B. Saturday & Sunday   8:00-3:00

Program Description

Pharmacy Technician Program is designed to provide students with the technical knowledge and practical skills necessary for an entry-level technician position in a retail, hospital or home-health pharmacy.

This course deals with dosage calculations, product recognition, and drug distribution systems. Major emphasis is placed on learning the trade and generic names of selected drugs and their classification. Pharmaceutical and medical terminology including abbreviations and symbols used in prescribing, dispensing and charting are also discussed. Basic anatomy and related pathological conditions are introduced.
